Fun Games For A Bridal Shower
One of the best things about a bridal shower is playing fun games. This is a great way to break the ice, get to know people, and add something fun to the party. You can stick with traditional favorites like trivia and the toilet-paper wedding dress, or make up something unique to play.
Trivia games are always a lot of fun at parties, especially at bridal ones. This is a chance to see who knows the wedding couple best. Have a list of questions and answers prepared ahead of time for the guests to answer. The questions can range from the bride's first crush to when she and the groom first met.
The Wedding Dress games is an oldie but a goodie. This requires several rolls of toilet paper and two teams. Each team has a model that they must dress in toilet paper, creating a wedding dress; the mothers of the wedding couple are perfect candidates. Nothing is off limits, so accessories are encouraged and the bride chooses the winning dress.
A fun game for everyone is the honeymoon game. This one takes some preparation and pretending. Beforehand have a suitcase full of items like men's underwear, work gloves, a big bra, sunglasses, big hats, anything that can put on that will be funny. Start by blindfolding the bride, telling her it is her wedding night but the electricity has gone out in the hotel and she must dress in the dark. When she has all the clothes on, over her own clothes, make sure you take a picture.
Another great game for brides is the Groom game. Before the party, contact the groom and ask him questions, they can be about himself, about the bride-to-be or whatever you think will be fun. As you read the questions off to the bride, for each question she gets right give her a piece of candy, for each one wrong a piece of gum.
No party is complete without some prizes for the games, so make sure you stock up on some beforehand. You can choose things like day planners, special soaps, scarves, wine, and bath salts. The prizes should not be too expensive, but you want them to be nice and desirable.
A great bridal shower is one where everyone walks away with fun memories of the party. Games are a very important part of a successful shower, so you need to make sure you choose games that go with your guests. Trivia games, guessing games, and even a bit of dress up are always a hit.
